What is a professional organizer?
The National Association of Professional Organizers defines Professional Organizers as people who use tested principles and expertise to enhance the lives of clients. They design custom organizing systems and teach organizing skills, they help individuals and businesses take control of their surroundings, their time, their paper piles, their lives!

How will a professional organizer help me?
The role of a professional organizer is to assist you through the process of improving a physical area or helping you organize your time. A professional organizer will ask you questions and encourage you to make decisions based on rules that you set to determine what stays or goes. A professional organizer will motivate, encourage, and support you.

What is the Wholly Organized! approach?
We work with you as an individual. We begin by having a discussion over the phone. Our goal is to help you identify and accomplish your goals. Simply- What is it you want? We want to help you get there.

How much do Wholly Organized! services cost?
Phone consultations are complimentary. Fees are based on an hourly rate.  Part of being organized is managing a budget. If following a strict budget is important to you, call us and we will map out a plan that is in line with your goals and budget.

What happens during the first organizing session?
After having a conversation over the phone, we will come to your house and get started on your project. Typically the session begins by taking a quick tour of the space, a review of our agreement, and then we get started by sorting items and creating a plan. Instructions will be given ahead of time for your specific project.

What is the typical length of time of an organizing session?
Our sessions vary in length depending on the energy, needs and goals of the individual. There is a three hour minimum for all individual sessions.

How long does it take to organize a space (kitchen, garage, etc.)?
Our favorite question! Organizing is a process. No job is alike, like no person is alike. A person with time and energy may do “homework” in between sessions, which will move the project along more quickly. Another person may enlist a family member or friend to help lower the cost of hours with a professional organizer. The biggest factor in determining the amount of time a project will take is the client’s ability to make decisions. We work efficiently and effectively.

I am embarrassed by my house, but I want help. Will you help me?
For anyone seeking our service, we use the assessment process to determine that we are the best fit for you. If the answer is yes (on both our ends), we will partner with you to reach your organizing goals. We are nonjudgmental and focused on you. We applaud you for asking for help. This is a big step.

Will you make me throw things out?
No. We will not throw anything out without your permission first.

What does it take to be more organized?
The first step is having a desire to be more organized. Next, you must be willing to learn new techniques. You will then need a commitment to making the time (even just 10 minutes a day can help!) to apply those new techniques to help you put new systems in place. The final step is checking in and asking “Is this working?” and making adjustments if necessary.
